The Best Halloween Candy

Halloween is creeping up on us again.

Every year around this time I get a sense of nostalgia for the innocent, safe Halloweens of my childhood when we were allowed to run amok in our suburban 1970's neighborhood.
Armed with pillowcases (little plastic pumpkin candy buckets were for babies!) and our best friends, we would spend hours Trick-or-Treating before returning home to compare our loot.

Dumped unceremoniously into piles on the floor, we would put our favorite candy aside and trade the remaining with each other, all the while consuming obscene amounts of chocolate and sugar.

Ah, the good old days!
