© deeleeaHome economist and spokeswoman Connie Moyers shared some cooking recipes for interesting foods from the South, including yams, fried turkey, refried beans, and a delicious brownie trifle recipe.
To make the brownie trifle, you need 1 package fudge brownie mix, ¼ cup coffee liqueur, 2 packages chocolate fudge instant pudding, 1 container whipped topping, and 1 chocolate-covered toffee candy bars, coarsely crushed. You prepare the brownie mix according to directions and bake in a 13x9x2 inch pan, brush with the coffee liqueur, cool and crumble. Prepare the pudding mix according to directions but do not chill. Layer half of the crumbled brownies in a 3-quart trifle bowl or dish, top with half of the pudding, half of the crushed candy bars, and half of the whipped topping. Repeat with remaining brownies, pudding and topping, cover and chill 8 hours or overnight.
