Cooking Recipes For Orange Chicken

Famous cooking recipes often get better with age. This is the case for an orange chicken recipe that dates back to the early 1970s. It was originally party of a Foster Farms cooking pamphlet, and many cooks today have managed to keep the original pamphlet intact for all those years as they loved the recipe so much.

The Foster Farms website today boasts three orange chicken recipes, but the classic pamphlet recipe is not among them. The classic recipe calls for coating chicken pieces in a mixture of flour, paprika and salt before browning in butter on the stovetop. You then add cinnamon, cloves and orange juice concentrate, and simmer the chicken in the covered skillet until done, about 45 to 55 minutes. However, if you are using chicken wings, these will cook in just 15 to 20 minutes.
