You're a confirmed food blogger when...

... you almost kick yourself for not measuring the ingredient proportions after you have cooked a special recipe. Or, when you use up more than half a dozen dirty plates for a single dish. Plating and presentation isn't easy, you know! Or when you dream of a kitchen with a small table apart from the large one used for prep work.

That's me, the food blogger! But I was reminded of the many things that set us apart after reading Tea's post You Know You're a Food Blogger When, #3 over at Tea and Cookies. She says:

You know you're a food blogger when you're cooking and blogging at the same time, running down the hall from your office to the kitchen to stir the simmering pot. Running back to the computer to email, blog, write, etc. You don't realize that you've knocked the wooden spoon you're using into the flame of the burner until you dash back to the kitchen and smell the charred wood.

Tee hee! It hasn't happened to me yet but I know how it is to run from in front of the stove with camera in hand to the computer downloading the pictures to see if they'll do, run back to the stove, plate the food, take pictures, run to the computer and then back again.

It gets complicated when I have company and the most demanding are family. My mother has complained about how it takes so long for me to cook and serve food now that I take pictures of each cooking step then plate the food till I'm satisfied.

But then again, family and friends are now also so used to it they ask if I want to take pictures before they touch the food on their plate, even when we eat out. Well, let's just say right now I've never developed the habit of taking restaurant pictures.
