Around The Kitchen
by karen on June 10, 2006

When the lady at the Dairy Board booth saw how interested I was, she gave me more detailed materials on home cheese making. Right now I'm so excited! My plan of action is to practice making fresh 'cheeses' that don't require culture then graduate to proper cheeses.
Oooh la la! I'm off now. I have to ask a few more questions and will be sure to report my results.

hey, i'm excited about this project of yours too, karen! i eagerly await your reports on your progress. i've always wanted to make cheese, esp. after reading laura ingalls wilder's books. but now this is just a pipe dream for me and my family, at least until the allergies are outgrown (if they ever are). but i'll be happy to live vicariously through you:)

There's was nothing to it, Stef! And the result is soooo much more! I now have to watch myself because I keep on snacking on the cheese. Not good for the waistline, hehehe!

Gabriella, I didn't really plan on making cheese this soon. But those simple instructions just made me want to literally sink my teeth into cheese from my own kitchen, hehehe!
Stef, I'll make you a special batch when we meet, hehehe! ;-)
