Write down those recipes!

What a careless lass I can be at times! Hmph!

When I am in a cooking spree, I experiment or improvise with recipes and very often I get lucky and find that the results are an improvement over my previous tweakings. Sometime back I made some rice pudding and typical of me, I wasn't measuring anything. Since it got very good feedback, I made some again a week later, this time carefully measuring the ingredients. Same feedback. I was then so confident of giving out the recipe when my aunties and my mother's friends asked for it.

Three days ago, I was craving for a pudding and thought of making it. I wanted to make it like the last time and realised... I didn't write down the recipe! I know the ingredients of course, but neglected to note the proportions!

Oh, I really feel like kicking myself with this one! Grrr!!!

Lesson for me: Use the pen and paper on the kitchen table. That's what it's meant for.
