Alaska's Emerald Isle, Kodiak, is celebrating their 50th Annual Crab Festival this weekend. There are too many events to list, but some of the festival's highlights include an art show, live music, parades, kayak races, a triathlon and a silent auction.
Two wine events invite you to come tasting in New Mexico. The first, The Southern New Mexico Wine Festival, in Las Cruces, offers live music, arts and craft booths and of course great food and wine. Up north, in Albuquerque, is the Albuquerque Wine Festival which is offering similar events.
You could eat your way around Louisiana this weekend!
Mudbug Madness is celebrating 25 years in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Don't forget about these others:
The Rib America Festival in St. Louis, Missouri
The Zellwood Sweet Corn Festival in Zellwood, Florida
The Pungo Strawberry Festival in Virginia Beach, Virginia

Mudbug Madness is celebrating 25 years in Shreveport, Louisiana.
In 1984, a group of brave and loyal North Louisianans decided to take a stand. This group was tired of hearing: "You people in Shreveport are more like Texans than anything else. You're hardly a part of Louisiana, at all." So this daring group gathered in the Downtown Shreveport Unlimited office to organize their ranks and pay homage to the most cherished of Louisiana institutions - the crawfish boil! And this group wanted to make their crawfish boil the granddaddy of them all. So Mudbug Madness was born. What began in 1984 as a two-day street festival in downtown Shreveport is now one of Louisiana's largest and most popular Cajun festivals, featuring renown Cajun, Zydeco, Blues and Jazz artists, mouth-watering Cajun cuisine, raucous contests, and fun for all ages. The 41st Annual Jambalaya Festival is on in the Jambalaya Capital, Gonzales and New Orleans is hosting The New Orleans Wine and Food Experience.
Don't forget about these others:
The Rib America Festival in St. Louis, Missouri
The Zellwood Sweet Corn Festival in Zellwood, Florida
The Pungo Strawberry Festival in Virginia Beach, Virginia
