Tea of the Week: Tea Spot's Red Rocks
Filed in archive Gourmet Goodies on June 30, 2007
Rooibos is my tea of choice these days. I tried a box of Stash's several months ago and I was hooked! I don't buy it often, though, because I'm the only one who really likes it. When I do buy it I opt for EcoTeas or Equal Exchange's. But recently our co-op had TeaSpot teas on sale, so I got myself some Red Rocks and my boys some of their Earl Grey, which is exceptional. TeaSpot is located in Boulder, Colorado, though their teas are available nationwide. I have now tried all their loose teas and I would highly recommend them. One thing I haven't tried from Tea Spot is their "Tea Maestro" that automatically lifts the tea leaves after brewing (you set a timer). It's been on the market for more than a year but I haven't been able to test-drive it yet. If you've tried it, let me know what you think!

The Tea Maestro sounds interesting! I have an IngenuiTEA from Adagio that I really like, but you have to pay attention to how long the tea is steeping.

I *LOVE* that red rocks tea - hot or iced - it's brilliant! The Tea Maestro's not out yet, but I'm looking forward to it too.
