This is my favorite tea right now, and I've been drinking it morning, afternoon and even in the evening. I should stop, really, the caffeine is starting to get to me LOL. But it is such a delicious tea, with a malty flavor that goes well with early morning oatmeal or yogurt or fruit, or teatime scones.
According to the the Signature Estates website,
"Assam" means "peerless".. You won't find me arguing with that -- this is one of the best teas I've had.
From Ceylon Treasures:
The term 'single-estate' means that each tea is the product of a specific farm or estate and is not blended with teas from other estates. Underlying the individuality of these different estates is the broader regional variation in tastes, flavors and aromas. Darjeelings are light and aromatic, Assams are strong and malty and Nilgiris are well known for their delicate fragrance.
Tea Guy talks about one from Hattialli that I haven't tried... I've added it now to the growing list.

Thanks for the mention. I hadn't heard of Signature Estates, but I'll have to check them out. Always up for a new Assam.

Yes Caley, we tried one last year. They are clever! I get them at my local Wild Oats. They *are* pricey though, so I often opt to just use my mesh basket.
Hi Bill, thanks for dropping by. Your reviews are awesome -- it can get dangerous to visit your site (dangerous to my pocketbook, LOL)!
