Founder Zhena Muzyka's son was born in 2000 with severe birth defects. Zhena needed the income to cover medical expenses, and so Zhena's Gypsy Teas was born. The company specializes in organic, fair trade coffee (kosher too!). Her son Sage is now 6 years old and thriving. And Gypsy Tea is doing well business-wise, if the shelves at my local stores are any indication.
Gypsy Tea's King Chai, as it turns out, isn't my favorite Chai, as I feel the flavors have been muddied up a bit -- it produces a tea that's a bit thickish than what I prefer I'm willing to give her other teas a try though.

Speaking of tea, I just did a post on the awesome tea infusers from Adagio. They are quite ingenius. And adagio seems to be running a teas-of-the-month club that I am super excited to try out . And here in chicago, I love tea in a hot toddy. =D

Unfortunately, many chais out there don't cut it. Having tried quite a few, the one that really does it for me is the Bombay Chai from Language of the Leaf. languageoftheleaf.com

Thanks for tip, Sanjay! I went to their website to see about online ordering, and found that it's not in working order yet -- however, the selections are impressive! I wrote the webmaster for instructions and got an almost immediate response, looks like the owners are first class too! I'll write about them once I get an order in and get to try their offerings. Thanks again.
Love Adagio, Casey. The IngenuiTEA is ingenious, many of my mom friends really like its clever design. I haven't ordered from them in a while, I should soon. Did you know when they were just starting out they offered payment for tea room reviews? I'm glad they've grown to such a successful company, with such an extensive selection now!

I became completely addicted to Morning Glory Chai when I lived in Seattle and they have online ordering through Tenzing Momo:

It takes a while to brew up a batch but it's very spicy and flavorful!
