Sunflower Seed Soup

Sunflower Seed Soup
2 cups shelled sunflower seeds
3 scallions, sliced thinly
6 cups chicken broth
salt to taste
Simmer all ingredients in a large pot for about 45 minutes. Serve hot.

St. Kateri Tekakwitha was from the Mohawk Indian tribe. Pine nuts played an important part in Indian cuisine
