Soda Bottles

We are not soda fans around here. Soda is something that we drink at children's parties, at other people's houses! We don't stock them because as with all things, if you keep it in your house you're probably going to eat it/drink it, and my kids get enough sugar from other things, they really don't need to partake in more to get a higher sugar high, if there's such a thing. Why then did I get three bottles of Rieme soda? Because they were a bargain, at just over $2 each! Not the contents, silly, the BOTTLES!! I've seen these French bottles at places like Container Store and they are not cheap. And I've been wanting to make more vinegar, after much success with my red-wine-vinegar-making adventures from years ago. But this time I wanted serious bottles. Hence the purchase. And yes, we did drink them; they were good - the orange and grapefruit-flavored ones; the regular limonade tasted much like a Sprite or 7-up, with more fizz and less sweetness, so if you're into soda I wouldn't recommend that one.
But here are some folks that love soda, and they give the Rieme 4 bottles.
Me? I'm planning to use them to make some sinamak, pictured in this blog post (you'll have to scroll down to see the pic) talking about another famous Filipino dish, Chicken Inasal. You can also see the "gourmet" bottled version here.
