Books (and Mags) for Cooks
by Jennifer on August 14, 2007

Actually, it's more exciting!
One of my favorite cookbook authors is Patricia Wells. I have three of her ten books, Patricia Wells at Home in Provence, Bistro Cooking and The Paris Cookbook.
At Home in Provence is the one I use most often, Bistro Cooking is full of traditional, delicious dishes and The Paris Cookbook offers more modern recipes from Paris's restaurants and chefs. I highly recommend all three.
In addition to writing, Ms. Wells offers delectable looking, week long cooking classes in both her cooking studio in Paris and in her farmhouse in Provence. Every class scheduled for 2008 is already full!
Oh well, I may not be able to attend her class, but I can always buy her newest book, Vegetable Harvest, which looks like a great addition to my collection.

I am looking at Vegetable Harvest this very moment! I thought that it would be a vegetarian cookbook, but was pleasantly surprised that it's more about giving glorious vegetables the starring role they deserve. The recipes are simple and so elegant.
