One diswasher option we can do without

GE has announced a new type of home appliance, the Profile Dishwasher with SmartDispense. It's a pretty swanky machine that can hold as many as 16 place settings worth of dishes and even has a setting just for washing plastics. The one feature I just don't get, however, is the Smart Dispense System. Apparently, the dishwasherlinks has a reservoir that holds a 45 oz. bottle of liquid detergent "saving the hassle of loading detergent before every wash." Hassle? Of all the things I don't like about cleaning my kitchen after dinner, the 1.2 seconds it takes me to fill the dishwasher detergent receptacle doesn't even register in the top fifty.

The price for this little luxury item can go as high as $1400 (depending on exterior finish). For that price, it ought to come with someone who loads the darn thing. Now that I'd pay for.
