We're not throwing our own New Year's Eve party this year, but have been cordially invited to a friend's house to ring in the New Year. The evening will most likely consist of delicious and decadent food, plenty of Champagne and local wine, and hours of dancing.
I can't wait!

If you are throwing your own party this year and need some ideas, there is plenty of information out there to peruse.
Domino Magazine has a guide to throwing a Cocktail Party for 50 that centers around a festive, sophisticated punch.
epicurious offers the Last-Minute New Year's Eve Party complete with recipes for food and drinks and decoration ideas.
If you fancy a sit down meal for a small group, Food and Wine has a delicious Stroke of Midnight menu.
Southern Living also offers an easy, economical New Years Menu for 8. Many of the dishes can be made ahead, making a nice, relaxing evening for the host.
