Happy Mardi Gras!

When I crave the food from New Orleans (which is often) I either crack open one of my New Orleans cookbooks or have a look at one of numerous, mouthwatering New Orleans and Louisiana food blogs and websites out there.
Attorney and dynamic food writer, Robert D. Peyton, reviews restaurants, gives recipes and writes about living in New Orleans on his site, Appetites.
Chuck Taggart writes two of my favorites, The Gumbo Pages and Looka!.
The Gumbo Pages offers information about all things Louisiana, including an informative Creole and Cajun Recipe Page. Looka! has fabulous Cocktail Recipes of The Day.
The local newspaper, the Times Picayune, offers a wealth of recipes and food related information on its website, nola.com

Finally, chef John D. Folse's comprehensive and informative site. He has been granted the title of Louisiana's Culinary Ambassador to the World and has created a mini empire of restaurants and food businesses in Louisiana. This is an excellent resource.
