National Garlic Day - April 19

Filed in archive From Garden to Table , Holidays by Jennifer on April 19, 2008

The "stinking rose" has its own holiday! Who knew?

Today, April 19, is National Garlic Day.

Some of the best garlic recipes I've encountered include Gambas al Ajillo (Spanish Baked Garlic Shrimp), the French classic, Chicken With 40 Cloves of Garlic, a versatile Garlic Paste that I like to use with pork and Aioli, a garlic mayonnaise that is truly sublimelinks. (I could pretty much just eat a bowl of it on its own, that's how much I love it!)

More recipes to help you celebrate this most important holiday can be found on these sites:

I've heard that there is a rare breed of people out there who don't like garlc, but I've never met one.
Have you?
