My "Lazy" Auntie
Filed in archive Around The Kitchen on April 3, 2006

The other day, I was talking to my auntie about not having time to cook what I want. I'm sometimes too busy, she however, has all the time in the world since she's retired and living alone. At times though she doesn't feel like cooking for just herself. Then she succumbs into temptation and has some instant ramen.
Auntie: "Well, I'm 80 years old. I can eat what I want and sometimes even what I don't really want." [laughter]
Karen: "I didn't realise you even stocked up on instant ramen."
Auntie: "Oh, just a cup or two for when I'm too lazy to cook. Then I just have to stir-fry half a carrot and a bit of cabbage, add the noodles and sometimes a hard-boiled egg then I'm ready to eat."
Karen: "Stir-fry vegetables? Boil an egg? That's what you call lazy?!?!?!"
Hmmm... lazier than usual. Welcome to my crazy family!
