More Leftover Halloween Candy Recipes
Filed in archive Holidays by ruth on October 30, 2009
We've offered suggestions on what to do with leftover Halloween candy before, but hey, you can't have too many options to dispose of sugar, so here are more:

CDKitchen offers lots of recipes for cakes, cookies, cheesecakes, pies and other desserts that incorporate these treats. I think I'll try the "Better than Sex Cake" recipe one of these days. I don't have Heath Bars on hand, but heck, I'll even buy them, just to see if the cake really lives up to its name!

Leftover Butterfinger bars? How about turning them into a chocolatey Butterfinger Trifle?

Don't know what to do with those York peppermint patties? How about some brownies with a peppermint twist? It should work for After Eights, too, but the recipe would need a bit of tweaking...

Or if youwould really rather not consume them (sugar is sugar is sugar, however you cook it), find out if there your dentist participate in the Halloween candy buy back program. They buy back Halloween candy from neighborhood kids for $1 per pound, then send it to the troops overseas! You save your waistline and teeth, and get to brighten the day of an American soldier in the process. Neat, huh?
