McDonald's Happy Meals for Adults
Filed in archive News on July 14, 2006
It seems like McDonald's is really intent on acquiring that healthy eating image. I have heard of franchises in many parts of the world where salads are now part of the regular menu. In the UK, they have even taken it a step, nay, several steps further, literally.
Part of the fast-food giant's ongoing move to diversify away from just selling burgers and fries, the meal includes a salad, drink and Stepometer.
The latter is a small device that clips onto a person's belt and counts the number of steps they take.
The promo is so successful they have had to order more Stepometers enough to last them till the end of the promotional period. That makes me wonder though. Are the customers after the food or the gadget? Hehehe!

hey, thanks for the tip, karen! we don't ever step foot in mcd's anymore (except to use their bathrooms when we travel and no rest areas around LOL) -- but i want one of those stepometers! i was at the dollar store looking for one and they were out. this looks like a bargain, even if i don't eat the food:D
