Maple-Cinnamon Applesauce Recipe

© SvadilfariIn a couple more weeks, we're going to be seeing apples flood the market. Tak advantage of this bounty; time for apple pies, jams and... home made apple sauce! Here's an apple sauce recipe with a twist, spiked with the heavenly flavors of cinnamon and maple syrup.
Maple-Cinnamon Applesauce
Ingredients:
* 6 McIntosh or other tart apples, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
* 2 Golden Delicious or other sweet apple, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
* 1/4 cup water
* 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
* 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Click here for the rest of the instructions. Easy to prepare dessert or after-school snack. Prepare a large batch, distribute in dainty containers and they're also great for gifts this coming holidays! They can be kept refrigerated for up to 2 weeks or frozen for up to 6 months.
