Here's a small taste of some of the food and wine events this weekend.

The 46th Annual Virgina Peanut Festival kicks off today offering live music, art and antiques, a Peanut Cook-Off and delicious food for festival goers to enjoy.

Oyster lovers should head to the 54th Annual Galway Oyster Festival in Galway, Ireland.

For the best in gourmet seafood, live music and the best Guinness in town, it has to be the Galway Oyster Festival.
From Thursday 25th September to Sunday 28th September 2008, Galway City will come alive as thousands of people travel from the four corners of the world to enjoy a remarkable festival celebrating the oyster, a food known for it's mysterious luxury and passion.

This Friday, Saturday and Sunday the residents of Cape Charles, Virginia invite you to their 1st Annual Fall Tomato Festival.

A variety of heirloom tomatoes are grown on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and will be featured. While visiting our tomato festival please try our great tasting stewed tomatoes, tomato pie, fried green tomatoes, tomato pizza and of course our tomato wine just to name a few favorites.

A grand seafood tasting by local and international chefs takes place this weekend at the 20th Annual Taste of the Bayou in Bayou la Batre, Alabama.

The much anticipated Dumpling Day is this Sunday in Gdansk, Poland.

One of Polish traditional dish are dumplings. Once a year, Gdansk celebrates the Dumpling Day with eating competitions and delicious dumplings served up all over the city!
