Late December Food Celebrations
Filed in archive Morsels of Info by Jennifer on December 21, 2007
As December rolls on and the countdown for Christmas is on, there aren't many food events to attend. I found a few, however!

Noche de Rábanos or Night of Radishes begins the evening of December 23 in Oaxaca City, Mexico. Vast displays of figures of animals, humans, saints, and other characters are on view, made exclusively from radishes. The radish artists are rewarded for their cleverness and skill. To compliment the festival, buñuelos, a typical Mexican bakery item, are served to keep the crowd happy.

Southbank Center Square in London, England, is hosting its first Slow Food Market this weekend.
Local producers exhibit the freshest produce from Somerset cheddar and artisan breads, to Tibetan yak cheese.
Taste some ready-made examples, learn some new recipe tips, or purchase ethically sourced craft products for last minute gift shopping.

In Dublin, Ireland, the Temple Bar Food Market is celebrating Christmas this Saturday at their annual Temple Bar Christmas Market offering mulled wine and mince pies, music and gift ideas to the visitors.
