I know there isn't much evidence of it (in many places anyway) ...
but it is spring!

Fresh at the market this month are asparagus, artichokes, avocado and sweet. tender green peas in the pod. Leafy greens such as chard, dandelion and young spinach are still available, but starting to wind down.
Nopales, delicious prickly pear cactus paddles, are in season, as are fava beans and crunchy radishes. If you can get your hands on any of these, I highly recommend them!
Citrus fruits and succulent strawberries are still available and new to the market this month is a seasonal favorite, rhubarb.
