Elise at Simply Recipes offers a simple and colorful Creamy Sweet Potato Soup with hints of maple syrup and nutmeg. Soups like this are great for the holidays. They can be made ahead of time to ease the pressure!

This weekend I'll be making this Pear Pork that I found on Chow. I love combining fruit into savory dishes and this looks delicious! They suggest a side dish of Acorn Squash with Red Onion and Currants.

Here's another beautiful side dish..Heidi at 101 Cookbooks proposes this recipe for Golden-Crusted Brussels Sprouts that she has included in her book, Super Natural Cooking. These caramelized sprouts might seduce even the most stubborn vegetable-hating palate.

Peabody at Culinary Concoctions by Peabody has a gorgeous looking cake made with hazelnut flour and pumpkin that she calls Pumpkin Financier. I love her sweet pea apron.

sweet potato Cheesecake! The Homesick Texan has created an amazing looking mélange of Sweet Potato Pie and Pumpkin Cheesecake. Decadent!
