Morsels of Info
by Jennifer on November 9, 2007
If you work in the food industry, early November offers some interesting food related trade shows. There's Kosherfest 2007 in New York City, an international wine fair, Iberwine, in Madrid, Spain, a Food and Hospitality Industry Expo in Shanghai, China, the Cake International Show in Birmingham, England and The Salon of Culinary Art in New York City.

If you are looking for some fun over the weekend and just want to taste some food and wine, then head to one of these events.
The tamale, one of my favorite foods, is being celebrated in Los Angeles, California at the 3rd Annual Los Angeles International Tamale Festival in MacArthur Park. This free event offers three days of arts and crafts, tamale making demonstrations and a tamale eating contest.
Down under in beautiful Brisbane, Australia is the three day long Good Food and Wine Show. The event offers wine seminars, new recipe ideas and cooking demonstrations as well as over 200 exhibitors.
In glorious Whistler, British Columbia, is the Whistler Cornucopia Food and Wine Festival which runs from November 8-12.
On a smaller scale, the 15th Annual St. Rita Pecan Festival in Harahan, Louisiana runs all weekend. Go and enjoy music, events and most importantly, food!

Cornucopia is Whistler's premier wine and food extravaganza. The annual event is a unique opportunity to mingle, mix and learn from acclaimed chefs, sommeliers, vintners and restauranteurs visiting Whistler just for this special celebration. Featuring a sumptuous variety of hands-on seminars, fascinating winemaker dinners, gala tasting events and sizzling after-parties, Cornucopia offers something for both the experienced gourmet and those seeking to better appreciate the epicurean delights of wine and food.
