Food Blogs: Best With Hot Chocolate
Filed in archive Food Blogosphere on July 14, 2006
Way past midnight, it's quiet outside - the rain has stopped, the wind is gentler. Finally, no more power interruption in the last two hours and the internet connection is better. All eight cats are sleeping after a restless day of being confined indoors. Now, it's me who's restless. I can't sleep. What is a food blogger to do?
Indulge in a luxurious cup of hot chocolate while surfing food blogs of course! Hehehe! Goodbye sleep. I've had a difficult time being updated recently, what with the spotty connection. Now's my time to find out what's new online. Of course, it's like torture since I haven't gone out for fresh produce in the last few days and have been subsisting on all variations of steamed/grilled/Fried fish and all manner of preparing vegetables. You know, my chance to clean out the crisper.
Hey, I'm just in time for the party! Today, Gabriella's twins celebrate their second birthday. Happy birthday boys! Be nice to Mommy and have fun on Sunday. Oh! Eat some cake and ice cream for me!
Uh-oh... not another potential food blog controversy! It seems like Indira has been approached by some snooty journalist and then subjected to the scams of unscrupulous people once again. Read what she shared on Food Blog S'cool. Interesting read to say the least.
Oh, just a few clicks and I chance upon mouthwatering Mahi Mahi with Lemon Ginger Sauce from the Kosher Blog. Goodness! That's enough to keep me sleepless for another few hours.
Food blog events a.k.a. blog carnivals are quite popular and now I can't keep track of them all! One of those that I regularly follow is Kalyn's Weekend Herb Blogging. It's one of the most popular events and Kalyn has now come up with rules just to keep it in line. Very easy and I'm bookmarking them as an example of simple and straightforward rules for blog event guidelines.
Still from Food Blog S'cool courtesy of Sam, we read that Willa at Sorry Fugu recently suffered a stroke. She's now in rehab and is asking for tips on how to adapt to limitations while cooking. Get well soon Willa!
There's lots more out there but I realise that I have a luncheon meeting later. I hope the sun comes out that I may remain dry. And so sleep I must! But to end this on a sweet note, check out that fantastic ice cream flavour combination on Brownie Points.
And so with that I finish my cup of hot chocolate!
