End of March Food and Wine Events

The final weekend of March offers some spectacular food and wine events to savor.

This Saturday and Sunday the folks in Hermann, Missouri are once again proclaiming their town as "the Sausage Capital of Missouri" and celebrating the 29th Annual Wurstfest. Some of the festivities include sausage tasting, live entertainment by the Rhineland Wurstjaeger Dancers and a statewide Sausage-Making Contest.

Over on the Big Island of Hawaii, chocolate is being worshiped March 27-29 at the 7th Annual Kona Chocolate Festival.

The mission of the annual Kona Chocolate Festival is to entertain both visitors to and residents of the Big Island; showcase the creative talents of fine Big Island chefs, chocolatiers, ice cream and candy makers; provide a means to highlight cacao farming and support the chocolate industry in Hawai'i; and raise funds to support education opportunities in video production and the culinary arts on Hawaii Island.

Sunderland, Ontario is hosting a weekend of celebrations at the 13th Annual Sunderland Maple Syrup Festival. The town invites visitors to come and enjoy live music, dancing, an antiques fair and pancakes smothered in maple syrup.

More maple syrup to taste in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania at the 61st Annual Pennsylvania Maple Festival. The festival runs over two weekends and includes fun runs, a quilt show, historical pageants and of course, pancakes with maple syrup!

If you're in the Cincinnati, Ohio area, head on over to the Cincinnati International Wine Festival.

Seventeen years young and aging like a fine wine, the Cincinnati International Wine Festival is a grand celebration of wine, food and music.
The Festival is made up of four prominent events: the Winery Dinners, the Charity Auction and Luncheon, the Grand Tastings and the Russ Wiles Memorial Golf Tournament.
