Eau de Stilton? Really?

First, from Reuters:
Some say Britain's pungent blue-veined Stilton cheese smells of old socks. But its fans have turned the rare odor into a perfume.
And then from the Stilton Cheese website:
The perfume, which has been blended by Manchester based ID Aromatics for the SCMA, re-creates the earthy and fruity aroma of Blue Stilton cheese in an eminently wearable perfume. Using grape seed as a carrier oil, the Stilton scent features a symphony of natural base notes including Yarrow, angelicaseed, Clary Sage and Valerian.
They even have Cat Deeley as an image model!
I am not sure if I would like to smell like Stilton cheese but I love it on my table especially with freshly baked bread.
Only seven dairies in the counties of Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire in the UK are licensed to produce Stilton cheese. It can only be made with whole cow's milk. What gives it those blue veins? "At about 6 weeks of age each cheese is pierced with stainless steel needles to allow air to enter the body of the cheese and activate the blue cheese mould and so commence the magical veining process." Specifically it is the Penicillium roqueforti mould.
Visit the Stilton Cheese website and learn so much, much more! Check out those mouthwatering recipes.
