Early December has a wealth of food and wine events to get out and enjoy!

Portland, Oregon invites its visitors and residents to have a wander around the Holiday Ale Festival this Thursday, November 29 through Sunday, December 2.

Despite chilly temperatures and often-inclement weather outside, attendees stay warm and dry at the festival under a large clear tent that covers the venue while allowing for views of the city lights. Gas heaters create a cozy ambience under the boughs of one of the region's largest decorated Christmas trees. More than three dozen potent winter ales are featured at the event, all of which are created specifically to bring warmth and cheer to the holiday season. The beers are rich, robust and full of complex flavors.

Festival Gastronómico Ritmos Colores y Sabores or the Rhythm, Colors and Flavors Gastronomic Festival takes place this Saturday in Los Cabos, Mexico. The festival includes live music and samples of traditional cuisine from restaurants all around Los Cabos.

The Franschhoek Wine Valley in South Africa invites you to come and taste some bubbly this weekend at The Magic of Bubbles Champagne Festival. The local restaurants are preparing special, champagne themed meals to enjoy with Mumm and Laurent Perrier, just two of the champagne houses represented at this event. Local, South African wines will also be showcased.

Delicious tamales are being celebrated at the Indio International Tamale Festival in Indio, California this Saturday and Sunday. Recently, the Food Network ranked the festival in the top 10 "All-American Food Festivals" in the nation!
