Rainshowers amidst the heat have gotten me down recently. Talk about under the weather! Hehehe! That's the only reason I have for the frenzy of preparing healthy vegetable salads and indulgent dips. Well, plus neighbourhood parties now and then.
Here is a dip that was a hit with friends and neighbours.
Mix together:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup grated cheese
5 tbsp. evaporated milk
1/2 tsp. garlic, finely crushed
1/3 tsp. ground cumin
salt to taste
minced garlic chives (for garnish)
Adjust the ingredients according to personal preference. Some prefer it less spicy, then lessen garlic. Add a bit of honey if you prefer a hint of sweetness.
Serve with a vegetable platter.
An alternative is to use plain yoghurt for the mayonnaise, which I personally prefer.
