Our kitchens are a wonderful source for holiday decoration inspiration.
Fresh, jewel-like cranberries can be used to make a colorful, cheerful centerpiece for your holiday table, or garlands to string around the house to create splashes of color. They are so beautiful, either on their own or mixed with rich greens and golds.

Garlands of garnet colored cranberries can be used to decorate trees, fireplaces and banisters. They are easy to make and are a great activity for kids!
You'll need some strong thread, a needle (not too sharp if little ones are involved) and fresh cranberries. Thread the needle and tie large knot at the end of your thread. Begin threading cranberries onto the thread and make sure the knot holds at the end. Keep adding cranberries until your strand reaches the desired length. Tie a large knot at the other end. An easy and economical decoration!
A bag of fresh cranberries, a tray and some candles are simple ingredients for a festive holiday table decoration.
Cover the bottom of a decorative tray with cranberries and make a line of pillar candles down the center or scatter little votive candles around, tucking them down into the cranberries to hold them in place. Decorate with greenery if you'd like and voilĂ ! Centerpiece done!
a note: cranberries contain moisture that could damage or discolor some trays, especially silver or wood. If you think you'll have a problem, line the tray with plastic wrap first
