Chocolate of the Week: New Tree
We already know that chocolate is good for us. New Tree chocolates takes it another step up with their all-natural Belgian chocolates, with new-agey sounding names like Tranquility. More on their name and their concept, from the NewTree website:

The name, " NEWTREE" means a new ("New"), approach to nutrition ("Nutrition") as well as the use of natural plants and ingredients (as implied by the word "Tree") in foodstuffs.

I don't go for fancy names, but I am a fan of cute, unusual packaging. So there was no way to resist this little box filled with three tiny bars. Just enough to indulge and evaluate (slowly) its creamy smoothness on the tongue, the cherry flavor coming through subtly but undeniably. There are times I like those nibby bits of stuff (ginger, cocoa, crunchy rice, sesame seed, etc.) in other chocolates, and then there are other times I just want the whole thing melting and taking over my mouth. This certainly satisfied the latter craving. I cannot wait to try the other flavors. With Feel-good themes like "Rejuvenating", "Harmonizing", and "Soothing", not to mention an emphasis on combining gastronomy and health, how can a chocoholic go wrong?
