Books (and Mags) for Cooks
by Jennifer on December 10, 2007
It's that time of year again! Time for the Best Cookbooks of 2007 lists.
Culinate recommends 8 cookbooks that they think would be great gifts for food lovers.
Food & Wine magazine has divided their list of The Year's 25 Best Cookbooks into six categories; Chef Showcases, The Everyday Experts, Global Exporters, Entertaining Helpers, Southern Stars and Dessert. Most are great picks, but I do wonder why they've put Everyday Italian by Giada De Laurentiis on the list. (yes, I'm being snarky)
Leite's Culinaria offers a list of The Best 20 Food Books of 2007. I love all of their choices!
epicurious has chosen 10 Best Cookbooks of 2007. Each book is given a little write-up and a link to a recipe on their site.
I have very little access to book stores so I've not had the chance to look at any of these books yet, but these five are definitely going on my Wish List.

Crescent City Cooking: Unforgettable Recipes from Susan Spicer's New Orleans by Susan Spicer and Paula Disbrowe

Two Meatballs In An Italian Kitchen by Pino Luongo and Mark Strausman

The Art of Simple Food by Alice Waters

Aromas of Aleppo by Poopa Sweck

1080 Recipes by Simone Ortega
