bamboo spatulas from Sur La Table

I am lucky to have inherited a lot of kitchen utensils from my grandmother. I didn't have to buy every single kitchen gadget I need to start out on my own. There are very sturdy cleavers, chopping boards, copper pans and what have you. If I'm careful I'll probably be able to bequeath them to my grandchildren in the distant future, just in case.

However, no matter how careful I am, there are a few items that need to be replaced due to regular wear and tear. I've been looking for wooden spatulas so I can retire a few of the ones that I have.

Wooden spatulas are the best ones to use on Teflon pans. For me, they're also what I use on metal. Hard scraping won't harm the pans and very high temperatures won't warp the spoons. These bamboo spatulas from Sur La Table look perfect for my needs.

From the website:
Natural wooden utensils have long been a cook's essential. These attractive spatulas are made from hard, durable bamboo and given a teak finish. Guaranteed to become a favorite. dishwasher safe. 3-year warranty.

Bamboo, if crafted properly, is a very durable material. These look like something I can leave my future grandchildren! Hahaha!
