Apple Pie, Dates, Sandwiches Recalled

One of the recalled products is the 9" Old Fashion Apple Pie. Ingles Markets, Inc., the manufacturer, is taking it off the shelves as they may contain undeclared walnuts in the pie topping. People who have allergies to walnuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

"Swad Dry Dates" in 7 ounce and 14 ounce packages are also being recalled by Raja Foods LLC because they may contain undeclared sulfites. he consumption of 10 milligrams of sulfites per serving has been reported to elicit severe reactions in some asthmatics.
Consumers who have purchased 7 ounce and 14 ounce packages of "Swad Dry Dates" are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 1-800-800-7923.

Chicken Salad, Egg Salad, Ham Salad, and Tuna Salad sandwiches by Hasty Tasty Food Service Inc./DBA Valley Vending of Davenport Iowa are also being pulled out because they contain undeclared dairy allergens (sweet dairy whey and butter).
The products were labeled under the brand names of Valley Vending/Hasty Tasty, Venture Vending, Prime Vending, and M & M Vending and are packaged in a plastic wedge container with a date code on or before 1/26/06.
