A Surfeit of Strawberries
Filed in archive Recipes by Jennifer on April 9, 2008
Fragrant, juicy and undeniably tempting, strawberries are officially in season!

Every week at the market I pass people attaching half flats to their bicycles or navigating whole flats through the crowds of shoppers. I've only bought a few pints here and there, but the prices have dropped so I'm digging deep into my cookbook, magazine and internet resources for inspiration.

Of course, there's always the good ol' Strawberry Shortcake. A bonus: this recipe is low fat!

David's recipe for Strawberry Frozen Yogurt looks perfect.

Strawberry Whole Wheat Pancakes look like a fabulous way to start a lazy Sunday. Too bad we rarely eat a proper breakfast anymore.

I love the idea of Strawberry Salsa Recipe. I've made mango Salsa so why not Strawberry Salsa?

Another sweet and savory combination is this Strawberry, Mozzarella and Arugula salad.

Last summer I stumbled across this wonderful recipe by Clotilde of Chocolate and Zucchini fame. I love clafoutis, so a Strawberry Clafoutis is right up my alley.

Another perfect, fresh dessert idea is this French Strawberry Tart.

Enjoy these seasonal favorites!
