A Seriously Rich Cup of Hot Chocolate
Filed in archive Recipes on December 24, 2007
Is there anything quite as indulgent and luscious as hot chocolate? Other than an icy cold margarita while reclining on your comfy lounge chair that is parked somewhere on the pink sands of a beach that overlooks the brilliant turquoise sea...
but I digress.
Hot chocolate can be and should be indulgent.
And sometimes life just calls out for that rich, decadent indulgence! A big mug of hot chocolate on a cold day once in a while is a wonderful thing. Sip it slowly, enjoy it, savor it.
Then have another!

Seriously Rich Hot Chocolate
makes 1 delicious cup
1/2 cup whole milk
1/4 cup heavy cream
5 ounces good-quality milk chocolate, coarsely chopped
Stir together the milk and cream in a small saucepan over medium heat and bring to a simmer, about 4 minutes.
Add milk chocolate and whisk until completely melted and well incorporated, about 2 minutes.
Serve immediately.

Katie, I should try it with dark chocolate too. I prefer dark to milk. YUM!
